The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal (“Tribunal”) found the following complaint against the Respondent proved on his own admission:

Complaint

The Respondent, having been convicted of the acts and events in the High Court case of HCCC 350/2020, did (a) commit a breach of Principle 1.03 of the Guide, in that he failed to conduct himself appropriately but conducted himself in a manner likely to bring the profession into disrepute, and (b) contrary to the common law, engage in conduct unbefitting a solicitor, thereby compromising his integrity, his own reputation and the reputation of the profession. 

The Tribunal ordered that:

  1. the Respondent be struck off the Roll of Solicitors; and 
  2. the Respondent do pay the costs of the Law Society, the Prosecutor and the Tribunal Clerk, as summarily assessed by the Tribunal.
