The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal ("Tribunal") found the following complaint against the Respondent proved:

Complaint

The Respondent failed to honour the terms of a professional undertaking in a conveyancing transaction, in breach of Principle 14.02 of the Guide and Rules 2(a), 2(d) and 2(e) of the SPR.

Taking into account the length of the delay and the past records of the Respondent in respect of breaches of undertaking, the Tribunal ordered that:

  1. the Respondent be fined HK$20,000.00;
  2. the Respondent be censured; and
  3. the costs of the Law Society, the Prosecutor and the Clerk to the Tribunal be borne and paid by the Respondent.
