Conduct unbefitting a solicitor contrary to common law

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal (“Tribunal”) found the following complaint against the Respondent proved on his own admission:

Complaint

The Respondent did commit a breach of Principle 1.03 of the Guide and did engage in conduct unbefitting a solicitor, thereby compromising his integrity, his own reputation and the reputation of the profession, contrary to common law, in that the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal of England and Wales had found a serious case of professional misconduct which was aggravated by two admissions of dishonesty under Case No.12181-2021 and ordered, inter alia, that he be struck off the Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales on 3 August 2021.

 

The Tribunal ordered that:

  1. the Respondent be struck off the Roll of Solicitors; and
  2. the Respondent do pay the costs of the Law Society, the Prosecutor and the Tribunal Clerk, as summarily assessed by the Tribunal.
