During an interview with Macau media at the event, President Mr Roden Tong said that the Law Society has been committed to providing free legal consultation services in Hong Kong. This marks the first time the Law Society has been invited to participate in offering free legal consultation services in Macau. President Tong pointed out that the public's response was enthusiastic, with consultation topics covering various areas such as inheritance, marriage, cross-border matters, property transactions, and cross-border trade. He also noted the strong demand for such legal services among citizens in both Hong Kong and Macau. He hoped that in the future, lawyers from Hong Kong, Macau, and the Mainland will deepen their understanding of each other's legal systems and collaborate to provide higher-quality legal services to the public.
The Law Society expresses its heartfelt gratitude for the selfless dedication of the three volunteer lawyers and sincerely thanks the Macau Lawyers Association for its warm invitation. The Law Society looks forward to continuing its close collaboration with the Macau Lawyers Association in promoting the further development of the legal profession in both regions.
