The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

On 12 October, the Law Society received a delegation from Foshan Lawyers Association.
Vice-President and Chairman of Greater China Legal Affairs Committee (“GCLAC”) Roden Tong, Council Member and GCLAC Vice-Chairman Neville Cheng, Council Members and GCLAC Members Careen Wong and Heidi Chui, as well as Secretary General Heidi Chu gave an overview of Hong Kong’s legal profession, the roles of Hong Kong solicitors, as well as the differences between solicitors and barristers in Hong Kong.
