The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

A delegation from the Shenzhen Municipal Committee's Greater Bay Area Office visited the Law Society on 7 January, 2020 under the coordination of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Both parties exchanged information and insights on the work of local lawyers and law firms in Shenzhen, the ways to attract Hong Kong and overseas lawyers to expand their practice in Shenzhen, and the potential of technology application in the two regions’ legal profession. Representatives of the Law Society included Mr. C.M. Chan, Vice President and Chairman of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee (GCLAC); Mr. Thomas So, Immediate Past President and Chairman of the Belt and Road Committee; Ms. Careen Wong, Council Member and Member of GCLAC; and Mr. Fred Kan, Ms. Catherine Mun, and Mr. Rico Chan, Members of GCLAC.
