The Law Society held its first Greater Bay Area online seminar on 26 September in 2020, focusing on the laws of succession in the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau. The seminar was moderated by Mr. Neville Cheng, Vice Chairman of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee. Mr. C.M. Chan, Vice President of the Law Society and Chairman of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee, delivered a speech at the seminar. Meanwhile, Mr. Henry Wai, Vice Chairman of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee, and Mr. Wilfred Tsui, member of the Greater Bay Area Sub-Committee, explained inheritance practices involving properties in the two places. Representatives of the Guangdong Lawyers Association and the Macau Lawyers Association also shared their insights. The online seminar was well-received and attracted more than 100 lawyers.
