The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

To mark the 30th anniversary of the promulgation of the Basic Law, the Hong Kong Coalition of Professional Services organised an online seminar under the title ‘“Dual Circulation” Strategy – Greater Bay Area Development – Future for Hong Kong Professionals’ on 18 November 2020. Mr. Leung Chun-ying, Vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Ms. Maria Tam, Vice-chairperson of the HKSAR Basic Law Committee under the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, were invited as keynote speakers.
Representatives of various professional bodies also attended the seminar to share their experience. As a member of the Coalition, the Law Society fully supported this seminar. President Melissa Pang served as the moderator of the event, while Immediate-Past-President Thomas So spoke about the opportunities arising from the latest national policies for local solicitors on behalf of the Law Society. The event attracted close to 250 professionals.
