The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

Council Member and Chairlady of Community Relations Committee Ms Joyce Cheng attended an event under the title “Career Opportunities in the GBA Series: Opportunities for the Legal Profession in the GBA Seminar” (“the Seminar”) in Panyu, Guangzhou. The Seminar was hosted by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Guangdong of the Government of the HKSAR. The Law Society was one of the supporting organisations of the Seminar.
During the Seminar, Ms Cheng shared with students on the career opportunities in Hong Kong’s legal industry, the entry requirements, workplace landscape, as well as job prospects of the legal profession.
