The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

The Law Society strives to raise general public legal awareness, facilitate public access to legal services and promote a culture of giving back to the community among our members.
On legal education, The Law Society, taking the opportunity of the Council duty visit in Beijing, signed a MOU with the School of Judicial Science of the China University of Political Science and Law on 31 March 2025. This is another step forward in our legal education endeavour.
As part of this initiative, the Law Society’s Common Law Centre will arrange for our members to give lectures to the students of the law school about legal services and risk management related to cross-border transactions from a common law perspective.
