The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

Launched by The Law Society of Hong Kong, the "GBA Express" event series aims to foster exchanges on legal issues with Mainland counterparts and to explore cross-boundary collaboration opportunities for its members.
On 21 March 2025, President Mr Roden Tong led a delegation of over 30 members to Zhongshan for the “GBA Express – Zhongshan.”
President Mr Roden Tong delivered opening remarks at the seminar in the morning, highlighting the close relationship between Hong Kong and Zhongshan. He noted Zhongshan's diversified industries and their strong connections to Hong Kong enterprises. President Tong further emphasised how Hong Kong lawyers can provide professional legal support to both Hong Kong-invested enterprises and Zhongshan businesses as they prepare to expand globally.
A key highlight of the event was the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between The Law Society of Hong Kong and Zhongshan Lawyers Association. President Mr Roden Tong expressed his gratitude to the Zhongshan Lawyers Association for its steadfast support and contributions to advancing the rule of law in the Greater Bay Area.
Mr Zhu Zhiqiang, President of Zhongshan Lawyers Association, described Zhongshan as a place where young lawyers from Hong Kong and Macau could pursue their dreams and referred to it as an "incubation base" for legal talent in the Greater Bay Area.
Other highlights of the full-day event included an interactive session for lawyers from Hong Kong and Zhongshan, followed by a luncheon. In the afternoon, the delegation met with Zhongshan Lawyers' Association and joined a visit to the Bokai community in the Torch Development Zone. These activities offered an overview of the city, highlighting its vibrant culture, legal landscape, and community engagement.
This was the fourth event under the "GBA Express" series, following previous visits to Foshan, Guangzhou, and Zhuhai. We look forward to organising more activities in the near future to strengthen connectivity with other cities in the Greater Bay Area!
