The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

The Law Society of Hong Kong’s President Mr Roden Tong and Vice-President Ms Careen Wong were invited to attend the Handover Ceremony for the 17th and 18th Presidents and Inauguration Ceremony for all Directors ("Ceremony") of the Taoyuan Bar Association ("TYBA") held in Taoyuan last Saturday, 11 January 2025.
Following the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between The Law Society of Hong Kong and TYBA in July 2024, TYBA actively participated in and supported the Cross Strait Four Regions Young Lawyers Forum, a flagship event held by The Law Society of Hong Kong held last September.
On the occasion of TYBA’s inauguration ceremony, President Mr Roden Tong and Vice-President Ms Careen Wong visited TYBA and were invited to attend the Ceremony. They had a brief tea gathering with the new President of TYBA Ms Chen Yun-Ju, Executive Director Mr Lin Shih-Fang, and Directors Mr Yang Ren-Qin and Mr Chen Yi-Heng before the Ceremony.
At the Ceremony, the President congratulated TYBA on the successful handover and extended his heartfelt gratitude to former President Mr Kassy Chang for his contributions to the legal community and leading TYBA to move forward. He also congratulated the incumbent President Ms Chen Yun-Ju on taking up this important role, expressing his wishes that under her leadership, the association would scale new heights and continue to thrive.
