The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

On 16 December 2024, Vice-President Amirali Nasir was invited to attend the Opening Ceremony of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (“HKIAC”) Beijing Office. The event was also attended by the Secretary for Justice Mr Paul Lam, Co-Chair of HKIAC Rimsky Yuen, and representatives from the Supreme People’s Court, the Ministry of Justice, and the Beijing Municipal Government.
The opening of HKIAC’s office in Beijing makes it the first offshore arbitration institution to establish a presence in Beijing.
