On 30 November 2024, Council Member and Vice-Chairman of Greater China Legal Affairs Committee (“GCLAC”) Neville Cheng and Council Member Chris Zhao attended the “Laws in the Greater Bay Area” Series (V) in Huizhou. Hosted by Huizhou Lawyers Association, the seminar was held in a hybrid format under the theme “New Trends in Cross-Border Data Flows in the Greater Bay Area”.
Following the opening speech by Neville Cheng, Council Member Chris Zhao attended the thematic sharing session under the theme “How to Protect the Security of Personal Data under the Judicial Systems of the Three Places”.
Mr Neville Cheng highlighted the strengths of Hong Kong lawyers in the Greater Bay Area, including their language proficiency and professional expertise in handling international disputes.
