The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

On 10 November, the Law Society received a delegation from the Department of Justice of Guangdong Province and Guangdong Lawyers Association, fostering closer ties under GBA’s rapid development. The delegation was led by the Director-General of the Department of Justice of Guangdong Province Chen Xudong, as well as the President of Guangdong Lawyers Association Xiao Shengfang.
Representatives from the Law Society included President C. M. Chan, Vice-President and Chairman of Greater China Legal Affairs Committee (“GCLAC”) Roden Tong, Council Members and GCLAC Vice-Chairmen Neville Cheng and Heidi Chui, as well as Secretary General Heidi Chu.
