The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

On 10 November, the Law Society received a delegation led by the Party Committee Secretary and Director-General of the Department of Justice of Anhui Province Luo Jianhua. President of Anhui Lawyers Association Yin Bangding was also among the delegates.
Representatives from the Law Society included Vice-President and Chairman of Greater China Legal Affairs Committee (“GCLAC”) Roden Tong, as well as Council Members and GCLAC Vice-Chairmen Neville Cheng and Heidi Chui.
Apart from giving an overview of Hong Kong’s legal profession, the two parties discussed how to deepen collaborations between lawyers from Hong Kong and Anhui Province.
