The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

Greater China Legal Affairs Committee Vice-Chairman James Wong received a delegation from Jiangxi Lawyers Association on 25 September. At the meeting, collaboration ideas were discussed, in particular on fostering closer cooperation between Hong Kong lawyers and Mainland lawyers in the capital markets.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for our Mainland counterparts to acquire an understanding of the latest developments about Hong Kong’s legal sector.
