The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

Organised by the Department of Justice of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and the Xinjiang Lawyers Association, the 2023 Central Asia Legal Services Cooperation Forum was held during the 2023 (China) Eurasia Commodity & Trade Expo in Urumqi, Xinjiang on 18 August.
Vice-President Christopher Yu was invited as one of the keynote speakers in the session on “Diversified Dispute Mechanism Resolution”. He delivered a speech to promote the use of Hong Kong alternative dispute resolution services under the theme “Hong Kong Dispute Resolution Services: Contributing to the Construction of the ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative”.
Vice-President Christopher Yu pointed out that Hong Kong was ranked the third preferred arbitration seat in the world.
The event attracted 300 participants to join.
