The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

President C. M. Chan joined the Guangdong Province Foreign-related Legal Construction Work Conference held on 19 July in Guangzhou, which was hosted by the Department of Justice of Guangdong Province and organised by the Guangdong Lawyers Association.
At one of the parallel forums, Past President and Chairman of the Greater Bay Area Sub-Committee Dr Thomas So delivered a speech on “New Trend of Collaborative Development of Legal Industry in the Greater Bay Area”. Council Member and GCLAC Vice-Chairman Neville Cheng spoke as one of the panellists on enhancing the competitiveness of Greater Bay Area lawyers through the integration of resources. Council Member and GCLAC Member Heidi Chui also attended the event.
