The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

On 28 June, Council <ember and Greater China Legal Affairs Committee (“GCLAC”) Vice-Chairman Neville Cheng, Council Member and GCLAC Member Heidi Chui, and GCLAC Vice-Chairman Henry Wai had a courtesy meeting with representatives from the Shanghai Bar Association to discuss the roles and strengths of Hong Kong and Shanghai lawyers under the Belt and Road Initiative and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership. The two parties also explored future collaboration opportunities to enhance the industry’s professional development.
