To enhance young lawyers’ understanding of the legal profession in the Mainland and the latest developments in this Greater Bay Area, a delegation of 16 young members visited Shunde District in Foshan City on 24 - 25 June. The event was hosted by the Law Society and fully supported by Hong Kong Shunde People Association’s Young Affairs Committee.

Led by Ms Sharon Tam, Chairlady of Greater China Legal Affairs Young Solicitors Sub-Committee, the delegates exchanged views on various topics with young solicitors in Foshan. They also had meetings with representatives of the Justice Bureau of Shunde District in Foshan, Foshan Lawyers Association and a law firm in Foshan to discuss the business environment in Shunde and Hong Kong, nurturing of young legal professionals, as well as youth development and collaboration between GBA young lawyers.

The delegates also visited Shunde Industrial Development Exhibition Hall, Shunde Ronggui Locomotive Industrial Cultural Tourism Base and the Shunde Overseas Chinese Town to learn about the development history of Foshan, its economic landscape and positioning in the Greater Bay Area.

The delegation had a meeting with representatives from the Justice Bureau of Shunde District in Foshan and the Foshan Lawyers Association, and visited a Mainland Law Firm.
