The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

President C. M. Chan led a delegation of around 40 Law Society members to Foshan on 16 Junefor the first event under “GBA Express” organised by the Law Society. The delegates included Vice-President and Chairman of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee (“GCLAC”) Roden Tong, Past President and Chairman of Greater Bay Area Sub-Committee Dr Thomas So, Council Member and GCLAC Vice-Chairman Neville Cheng, Council Members and GCLAC members Careen Wong and Heidi Chui, Council Member Hin Han Shum and Secretary General Heidi Chu.
The delegation attended the 3rd Guangdong Corporate Legal Service Forum organised by Guangdong Lawyers Association (“GDLA”) and Foshan Lawyers Association (“FSLA”). President C. M. Chan delivered a speech under the title of “Important Clauses in Cross-border Contracts from the Perspective of Enterprises”. Meanwhile, Mr Neville Cheng joined the salon discussion themed “Co-creation – Corporate Legal Service Innovation from the Perspective of the GBA”. During the visit, the delegation had an exchange session with leaders of GDLA and FSLA as well.
