On 8 to 10 June, the representatives of the Law Society joined a delegation led by the Secretary for Justice, Paul Lam, SC, to Guangzhou, Nansha and Shenzhen. The delegation comprised 20 representatives from the legal sector, the Department of Justice and the Intellectual Property Department.

President C. M. Chan joined as the deputy head of the delegation. Other Law Society representatives included Vice-President and Greater China Legal Affairs Committee Chairman Roden Tong, Vice-President Christopher Yu, Intellectual Property Committee Chairman Kenny Wong and Civil Litigation Committee member Joseph Kwan.
