The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

With the increasing number of our members qualified to practise in the Greater Bay Area, it is important to deepen our understanding of the local policies and collaboration opportunities in the GBA cities. On 29 May 2023, the Hong Kong and Macau Lawyers Greater Bay Area Practice Promotion Conference and Opening Ceremony of "Bay Area Lawyers Lectures" were held in Shenzhen, Qianhai. Co-organised by the Shenzhen Lawyers Association and the Qianhai Belt and Road Legal Services Federation, this event is aimed at attracting Hong Kong and Macau lawyers to practise in the district. President C. M. Chan gave a speech and attended the first talk of the "Bay Area Lawyers Lectures”.
