The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

As a supporting organisation, the Law Society participated in SmartHK Guangzhou on 24 May 2023 organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (“HKTDC”). The Law Society set up an exhibition booth at the event to promote Hong Kong’s legal profession and the provision of cross-border legal services.
During the event, the forum entitled “Hong Kong - Unparalleled Opportunities to Expand Your Global Business” - Cross-border Asset Management and Green Finance Forum was co-hosted by HKTDC and Invest Hong Kong. Council member cum Greater China Legal Affairs Committee member Heidi Chui spoke as one of the speakers of the first panel session, covering the role and function of a lawyer in setting up a family office in Hong Kong.
