The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

On 22 May 2023, 15 Mainland officials under the Department of Justice’s Common Law Training Scheme visited the Law Society and were received by President C. M. Chan, Vice-President Amirali Nasir and Vice-President cum Greater China Legal Affairs Committee Chairman Roden Tong.
At the meeting, the representatives of the Law Society introduced the role and functions of the Law Society, especially our work in nurturing young legal talent, legal education for the youth, and promoting members’ career development in the Greater Bay Area. Representatives also briefed them on the legal profession in Hong Kong and shared the efforts from the Law Society in contributing to various national policies and development plans, such as the development of the Greater Bay Area.
