The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

Hosted by the Macau Lawyers Association (“MLA”), the 2023 Macau Lawyers’ Day was held successfully from 19 to 21 May 2023 in Macau.
On 19 May 2023, a seminar under the theme of “Opportunities for Lawyers in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Belt and Road Initiative” was held. President C. M. Chan, and Past President cum Chairman of Greater Bay Area Sub-Committee Dr. Thomas So delivered keynote speeches in the seminar.
Meanwhile, Council member and Vice-Chairman of Greater China Legal Affairs Committee (“GCLAC”) Neville Cheng, as well as Council member cum GCLAC member Careen Wong participated in the panel discussion.
In the evening of the same day, Vice-President cum GCLAC Chairman Roden Tong represented the Law Society to attend the kick-off ceremony of 2023 Macau Lawyers’ Day.
The event provided a platform for fruitful exchanges between Macau lawyers and Hong Kong lawyers, creating opportunities for future collaboration.
