The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

A delegation of Shaanxi Provincial Department of Commerce visited The Law Society of Hong Kong on 16 March 2023. The delegation was led by Mr. Fan Wanchun, Vice-Governor of Shaanxi Provincial Department of Commerce. Mr. Henry Wai, Vice-Chairman of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee (“GCLAC”), and GCLAC member William Ling received the delegation on behalf of the Law Society.
Both parties exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and looked forward to more interactions and cooperation between Hong Kong and Shaanxi, particularly in taking advantages of the opportunities arising from the development of the Greater Bay Area and the Belt and Road Initiative.
Vice-Chairman of the GCLAC Henry Wai exchanged souvenirs with Mr. Fan Wanchun, Vice-Governor of Shaanxi Provincial Department of Commerce and more cooperation is expected in the future.
