The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

On 22 February 2023, Vice President and Chairman of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee (“GCLAC”) Mr. Roden Tong, Founding Chairman of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement Committee cum member of GCLAC Mr. Fred Kan, as well as GCLAC members Mr. Rico Chan, Ms. Natalia Cheung, Mr. Ronald Kan, Mr. Jonathan Lee, Mr. Daniel Leung and Mr. William Ling had had a courtesy meeting with the delegation led by Mr. Liu Guilin, the Deputy Director-General of the Authority of Qianhai.
Topics included the matters related to the Greater Bay Area lawyers, as well as the policies on the development of Hong Kong law firms in Qianhai and the latest updates of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong International Legal-Services District were discussed.
