In December 2022, the Law Society collaborated with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao GBA Legal Education and Talent Training Alliance in providing a series of lectures for law schools in the Greater Bay Area. Under the title of “Hong Kong Common Law & Experience Sharing on Legal Practice”, the first round of lectures were tailored for the Law School of the Shenzhen University (“SZU”) and the “Center for Basic Laws of Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions” of SZU. Topics included legal education in Hong Kong, the city’s legal system and Basic Law, the interplay between arbitration and winding-up, as well as financial compliance. Volunteer lecturers included Mr. Stephen Hung, Past President and Chairman of the Working Party on the Promotion of Law Society Courses and Initiatives in Greater China Region; Mr. Daniel Leung and Mr. William Ling, members of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee; as well as Mr. David Luk, member of the International Legal Affairs Committee.
