The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

Jointly organised by the “Office of the Leaders of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee to Promote the Construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”, the Development and Reform Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, the Justice Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, the Authority of Qianhai and the Shenzhen Nanshan District People’s Government Office, the 2022 GBA (Shenzhen) Rule of Law Forum was held on 11 November 2022 in hybrid format under the theme of “New Ideas, New Fields and New Development for Legal Services Cooperation within the GBA“.
President C. M. Chan delivered a speech under the topic “Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong International Legal Services District: New Platform for Legal Services Cooperation” and shared the roles and strengths of Hong Kong lawyers in the GBA.
President C. M. Chan said that Hong Kong lawyers have accumulated rich experience in handling legal matters across different jurisdictions.
