The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

Since 2003, the Law Society has jointly organised the Straits Law Forum with a number of academic and professional bodies to promote legal exchanges among the Mainland, Taiwan, Macau and Hong Kong. This year, the Straits Law Forum was held in Fuzhou on 18 August 2022 under the theme of “Research on Legal Protection for Elderly Care Services”. President C. M. Chan gave a congratulatory message in the form of a pre-recorded video, which was played at the event’s opening ceremony.
