The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

The Law Society is pleased to co-organise the Second Event of the “Seminar Series on Civil Code” on 16 July 2022 with Guangdong Lawyers Association and Macau Lawyers Association.
Under the theme “Refactoring and Updates of Guarantee Rules under the Civil Code”, Mr. Rico Chan, member of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee, joined guest speakers from the Mainland and Macau to analyze typical cases based on different legal practices of their respective jurisdictions through thematic sharing and case-study sessions.
Hosted by Zhuhai Lawyers Association, the hybrid event attracted 315 participants from the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau.
