The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

On 22 March 2022, Vice-President and Chairman of Greater China Legal Affairs Committee Mr. Roden Tong, Vice-Chairman of GCLAC Mr. Neville Cheng and GCLAC Member and Vice-Chairperson of the Organising Committee of Cross Strait Four Regions Young Lawyers Forum 2022 Ms. Heidi Chui had a virtual meeting with the Deputy Consul-General of Australia in Hong Kong, Mr. Ryan Neelam and Consul Mr. Patrick Orchard. Representatives of the Law Society gave a briefing on the established framework for Hong Kong legal practitioners to qualify and practise law in the GBA, as well as the Law Society’s efforts in bridging young lawyers with the opportunities available in the GBA.
Representatives of the Law Society had a virtual meeting with Australian Consul on legal practice in the GBA.
