The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

Co-organised by Guangdong Lawyers Association, the Law Society and Macau Lawyers Association, the "Laws in the Greater Bay Area" Seminar Series aims at promoting professional and practical exchanges among three regions. Themed under “Cross-border Insolvency Laws”, the second seminar of the series was held online on 18 September. President C. M. Chan delivered a welcome speech at the event. Meanwhile, Greater China Legal Affairs Committee member Patrick Mak, as well as representatives from Guangdong and Macau, conducted an in-depth discussion on insolvency laws of the three regions and issues on cross-border practices. The online seminar attracted the participation of over 100 lawyers.
