The first Greater Bay Area Legal Professional Examination took place on 31 July. Hong Kong and Macau legal practitioners who passed the examination and obtained the Mainland practice qualifications will be allowed to practise in specific areas of Mainland law in the nine municipalities in the Greater Bay Area. To help members prepare for the exam, the Law Society organised a sharing session. Mr. Thomas So, Immediate Past President and Chairman of the Greater Bay Area Sub-committee; and Mr. James Wong, Vice-Chairman of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee, shared tips on how to prepare for the examination. Mr. C.M. Chan, Vice-President of the Law Society of Hong Kong, delivered a welcome speech for the event, while Ms. Careen Wong, Council member and member of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee, hosted the event. The sharing session attracted the participation of close to 160 members.
