The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

Hosted by the Guangdong Lawyers Association, the seventh Joint Meeting for Lawyers Associations in the Greater Bay Area was held on 17 April virtually. Representatives of the Law Society included Mr. C.M. Chan, Vice-President and Chairman of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee; Mr. Thomas So, Immediate Past President and Chairman of the Greater Bay Area Sub-committee; Mr. James Wong and Mr. Neville Cheng, Vice-Chairmen of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee; and Ms. Heidi Chu, Secretary General of the Law Society.
At the meeting, representatives from lawyers associations of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau expressed their views on various topics, including the online seminars on Civil Code, the seminar series on "Laws in the Greater Bay Area", mutual recognition of continuous professional trainings, the “Legal Buddies” Scheme in the Greater Bay Area and mechanism for sharing laws and regulations of the legal industry in the three places, etc.
Representatives of the Law Society discussed ways to promote cooperation among lawyers from the three regions at the meeting.
