The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

To enhance members' understanding of the legal industry development in Mainland provinces and cities, the Law Society and the Sichuan Lawyers Association jointly organised an online-sharing session on 26 March. Ms. Melissa Pang, President of the Law Society, and Mr. Cheng Shoutai, President of the Sichuan Lawyers Association delivered welcome speeches at the event. Subsequently, representatives of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Justice introduced the Tianfu Central Legal Services District in Sichuan Province, and arrangements for setting up law firms in the form of partnership association between Sichuan and Hong Kong. Furthermore, lawyers interested in establishing partnership associations also shared their insights and experience on the development of the two places.
