The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

Ms. Melissa Pang, President of the Law Society, together with Mr. C.M. Chan, Vice-President and Chairman of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee, Ms. Careen Wong, Council Member and Member of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee, Mr. Henry Wai and Mr. James Wong, Vice-Chairmen of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee, and three members of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee, met with the Sichuan Lawyers Association through online platform on 16 January to promote cooperation between lawyers of the two regions.
Mr. Cheng Shoutai, President of the Sichuan Lawyers Association, as well as the association’s Vice-President and two members of their specialist committees, attended the meeting and shared updates regarding Sichuan’s legal profession.
