ASSISTANT, COMMUNICATIONS & EXTERNAL AFFAIRS AND MEMBER SERVICES (Ref: CEA&MS/ASST)

The appointee will be responsible for providing support to the Assistant Director of Communications & External Affairs and Member Services in: 

  • Coordinating travel arrangements for Law Society representatives including bookings of flight, hotel accommodation and airport transfer services;
  • Handling administrative duties including meeting coordination, preparing correspondence and papers and coordination of meetings;
  • Updating and maintaining records of all expenses incurred under the Communications & External Affairs and Member Services Department;
  • Updating and maintaining the Department’s filing registry;
  • Coordinating the production of corporate and promotional materials;
  • Managing the Department’s inventory of corporate souvenirs, corporate brochures and related materials; and
  • Special projects such as Law Week, Teen Talk, Opening of the Legal Year, annual receptions, regional and international conferences.

Requirements:

  • F.6 or above with at least 1 year’s working experience;
  • Experience in secretarial/ clerical work will be an advantage;
  • A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including proficiency in Putonghua);
  • Good computer skills including MS Office and Chinese Word Processing;
  • Experience in online meeting platforms will be an advantage;
  • Good telephone manner;
  • Independent, meticulous, courteous and able to work efficiently to meet tight deadlines or work outside normal office hours as and when required; and 
  • Immediate availability is preferable;

ASSISTANT, COMPLIANCE (Ref: COM/IC/ASST)

Job Duties:

  • To perform secretarial and clerical support to Investigation Counsel (“IC”);
  • To assist the IC to handle complaints and answer enquiries from the public and members;

The appointee will have overall responsibilities of leading a small team to organise events and activities as well as to devise strategic and operational plans to promote the image of the Law Society.

Job Duties:

  • Organise events, exhibitions, visits and functions for members of the Law Society and for the public;
