Building on the success of the Belt and Road Conferences held since 2017, The Law Society of Hong Kong will collaborate with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (“HKTDC”) to include its 9th Belt and Road Conference (“Conference”) as part of the Belt and Road Summit 2026 (“Summit”), co-organised by the Hong Kong SAR Government and the HKTDC on 9 and 10 September 2026.
Themed “Silk Road Steppe Pact: Legal Innovation Powering Central Asia’s BRI Trade, Legal Infrastructure Development and Cross-Border Dispute Resolution”, the Conference will be held on 10 September 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. As the finale and a key highlight of the Summit, this event will provide a valuable platform to explore how legal innovation can power the region’s evolving development in three key areas: legal infrastructure, cross-border commerce and investment, and dispute resolution.
