Emergency Free Legal Advice Service
Emergency Free Legal Advice Service mobile

Starting 4 December 2025, The Law Society of Hong Kong has set up Emergency Free Legal Advice Service Counters at three transitional housing projects in Tai Po: Lok Sin Village, Good House, and Trackside Villas (the “Service Counters”). Volunteer solicitors are stationed at these counters to provide face-to-face preliminary legal advice service to residents affected by the Tai Po Tragic Fire (the “Service”). To enhance accessibility, additional service counters have been established at T‑Loft @ Lok Wo in Ma On Shan, CONCORDIA Sheung Yue River in Yuen Long, and Kai Fook Kui in Kai Tak. These service counters have been in operation since December 2025.

The locations of the five Service Counters are as follows:

  1. Lok Sin Village
83 Ting Kok Rd, Tai Po
  2. Good House
168 Shuen Wan Chan Uk, Tai Po
  3. Trackside Villas
Tai Po Road, Tai Po Kau, Tai Po
  4. T‑Loft@Lok Wo

From 15 December 2025, residents affected may register for the Service by clicking here or scanning the below QR code, which is also posted at the vicinity of the Service Counters. We shall contact the registered to discuss and arrange for the relevant Service to be provided.

The Law Society will continue to closely monitor the needs of residents and maintain close communication with relevant departments, adjusting or expanding the scope of the Service as necessary to provide the fastest and most practical support to those affected.
