The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

The International Conference of Legal Regulators (“ICLR”) functions as a dynamic network within the global legal community, providing a dedicated platform for regulatory associations and individuals working for regulatory bodies or specialising in lawyer regulation as academics or consultants to exchange insights and best practices.
For the first time, The Law Society of Hong Kong will host this important annual international event in Hong Kong and facilitate the exchange of ideas among legal regulators from around the world to refine perspectives and contribute to the evolution of effective regulatory approaches within the community.
