Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, London Adding further significance to the visit for the Opening of the Legal Year 2025 in England and Wales, a vibrant lunchtime seminar was co-hosted by the Law Society and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, London on 2 October 2025 in London.

This student engagement event, supported by three student associations in the UK, welcomed over 40 students from 10 prestigious universities across the UK and beyond – all united by a shared interest in the unique advantages of Hong Kong’s legal profession.

The seminar served as an excellent platform for future legal professionals to explore the exciting opportunities that Hong Kong presents within its dynamic and evolving legal landscape. In his sharing, President Roden Tong highlighted the unique strengths of Hong Kong’s legal system and the promising career pathways available. The thoughtful questions raised by the students reflected their genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for pursuing legal careers in Hong Kong.

This successful event reaffirmed the Law Society’s commitment to nurturing global legal talent and strengthening ties between Hong Kong and the international legal community.
