The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

On 19 June, President Roden Tong, Vice-Presidents Amirali Nasir and Christopher Yu, and Chairlady of the Mediation Committee Mrs Cecilia Wong received a delegation from the Special Task Force appointed by the Government of Malaysia, led by the Honourable Dato’ Muhammad Adam Abdullah.
The delegation aimed to study, among other things, the establishment of mediation centres in Hong Kong and the Mainland, as well as the implementation of mediation in both places. The representatives of the two sides introduced and exchanged information and updates regarding the legal and mediation landscape in Hong Kong and Malaysia.
The discussion was fruitful and both sides agreed to explore further cooperation in the future.
