The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

By popular request, The Law Society of Hong Kong’s Second Instalment of 7th Belt and Road Conference was completed successfully on 28 April in a webinar format, writing a stupendous record of over 1,200 participants from 12 jurisdictions joining virtually. Including the preceding 7th Belt and Road Conference, which was held in a hybrid format on 21 November 2024 that attracted over 500 registrations from various sectors globally, we achieved a combined registration of approximately 1,700.
Bearing the same theme, “Legal Professionals Joining Efforts in Advancing Eight Major Steps to Build High Quality Belt and Road Cooperation”, the webinar served as an interactive continuation of the previous Conference, which aimed to expand professional conversation among elite speakers and audiences across various sectors and jurisdictions.
