At the invitation of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (“HKIAC”), Vice-President Amirali Nasir attended the Riyadh International Disputes Week (“RIDW”) 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 23 to 27 February.

At the HKIAC’s event entitled “Trade, Investment, and Arbitration across Asia and the Middle East” on 27 February, Mr Nasir took the opportunity to introduce to the international community how Hong Kong legal professionals are uniquely positioned to assist enterprises in navigating the common law business environment. He also highlighted the diversity and internationalism of Hong Kong’s legal services market reinforcing its role as a “super-connector” and “super value-adder” between the Mainland and the rest of the world.

With the Memoranda of Understanding signed between the Law Society and Dubai International Financial Centre Courts and Egyptian Bar Association respectively last year, we look forward to forging closer partnerships with the Middle East counterparts in the near future.

The RIDW 2025 attracted over 4,800 participants from a wide spectrum of stakeholders and professionals globally.

Mr Nasir took the opportunity to meet with local legal and business communities to explore potential collaborations.
