The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

Invited by The Law Society of Brunei Darussalam, Vice-President Mr Amirali Nasir attended the Opening of the Legal Year (“OLY”) 2025 in Brunei and its side events from 22 to 23 January in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei.
The OLY Ceremony on 23 January gathered local members of the judiciary, members of the diplomatic corps, senior government officials, Presidents and head delegates from international legal organisations and lawyers’ associations, legal professionals as well as students from higher education institutions. Featuring inspiring speeches by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, the Attorney General, and the President of The Law Society of Brunei Darussalam, the event marked the beginning of the new judicial year in Brunei.
Leveraging this valuable opportunity, Mr Nasir introduced Hong Kong’s robust legal system and diverse legal services to the local and overseas delegates.
