The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

At the invitation of the Paris Bar, Vice-President Amirali Nasir attended the Opening of the Legal Year 2023 in Paris, France, on 24 November 2023 on behalf of the Law Society. Mr Nasir took this valuable opportunity to showcase Hong Kong’s robust legal system and diverse legal services, recent developments and the Law Society’s work in the international legal arena to the international bar leaders from across the globe. These counterparts came from Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
