Entitled “Dispute Resolution Framework under the Belt and Road Initiative: Options and Organisations Involved”, the joint webinar with Lawyers Council of Thailand under the Royal Patronage was successfully held on 13 November 2023, attracting around 200 participants from Hong Kong and Thailand. Speakers from the two jurisdictions gave detailed presentations on the intricacies of resolving cross-border disputes within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative; and explored the available options and the key organisations that play a role in this context. 

Representing the Law Society, Vice-President & Chairman of International Legal Affairs Committee (“ILAC”) Amirali Nasir; Council Member and Vice-Chairman of Standing Committee on External Affairs (“SCEA”) Ronald Sum; and Member of SCEA & ILAC Olivia Kung shared their valuable experiences on this topic with the attendees.
